As an artist, Caroline Ballou is observant by nature. There's something about setting foot on foreign soil that really sharpens her senses. Her footprints vanish in a moment but the textures and colors and shapes of a place take root in her soul. Jewelry is in Caroline Ballou's blood. Since 1886, four generations Rhode Island's most important manufacturers of fine jewelry.

As a young designer, Caroline Ballou took a different course. After receiving her MFA, she opened her own studio, producing art jewelry for galleries, hosting private shows with limited edition pieces and she received several design awards.

As the Design Director for the family company, Caroline's career took on a new dimension when she began to design her own line. She combined her contemporary visions with B. A. Ballou's history of high quality standards and infinite technical expertise. She gave life to the fifth generation era of design innovation in the well respected jewelry manufacturing company.

Caroline creates her fine jewelry collection with a cross-cultural edge, the sophisticated product of worldwide influences filtered through the sensibility of a thoroughly contemporary artist. Combining rich colors, textures, rhythms, symbols and patterns, she develops a broad mix of necklaces, cuffs, bracelets, rings and earrings. Working in sterling silver and 18K gold, she adds excitement with semi-precious gemstones, some being exclusively designed and cut for fine quality and distinction. Diamonds and pearls add a strong yet feminine elegance. Textures in sterling silver are darkened to illuminate the richly incised forms. Gold becomes an art form, sleek and polished, hammered and matte, each piece with a warm glow. Intriguing surface treatments, combinations of precious metals, and contemporary stones and beads are used in illustrating a casual elegance that is Caroline Ballou.

Her collections are for the woman seeking individuality; from modern classics with a twist to the refined adaptations of trends. Touchable and wearable, the entire collection moves easily from day to evening, adding pizzazz to business wear and a touch of exclusive luxury to weekend and dinner fashions. Wearing a Caroline Ballou feels like wearing confidence.

Pandora is more than the name of a legendary figure with an infamous box. It is also the name of a unique jewelry that is available at fine gift, jewelry and department stores across North America. According to Greek mythology, Pandora was a woman who was created by the Greek god Hefaistos. Pandora was sent to earth with a box and when she opened it, all the evils of the world escaped. Only the virtues of hope and opportunity remained. It is hope and opportunity that are the inspirations behind Pandora Jewelry design.

The strength of the Pandora bracelet is the unique threaded system. Each bracelet is divided into three sections by small threads. Each bead is equipped with interior threads, which allows you to screw individual beads onto any bracelet segment in the order you desire. The beads move freely and rotate slightly with your wrist’s movement, creating an undeniable eye catching and stunning effect. From jeans to formal ware, the Pandora bracelet enhances any attire. Each bracelet is as unique as the woman who wears it.

Create your own look and style with Pandora bracelets! Make one for every unforgettable and charmed moment. Try the bohemian romantic, the elegant chic, the raw elegance, the 60’s flower power, the charmed sophisticate, the billionaire, the simplistic minimalist or the pure feminine. Pandora Jewelry can change to fit your mood and express your personal character.

Available in stores September 2005, Pandora Jewelry released Murano glass beads to the Pandora line. Each bead is hand made from the finest Murano glass and is unique and individual, just like the wearer. These colorful creations contain hand made design of stripes, swirls, polka dots, zigzags, and flowers. The Pandora Murano glass bead is unique in many ways: the glass beads are crafted under the extreme temperature of 2192°F. The high heat and hardening process makes the glass bead unbreakable to every day wear. The new glass beads look great by themselves or paired with our traditional line of 14K gold and sterling silver beads. Visit the Pandora website.

The William Henry Studio is devoted to the vision of designing and building the finest tools possible. Founded in 1997 by partners Matthew William Conable and Michael Henry Honack, the studio has grown from a one-man shop to a 20 person company that has established a new benchmark of excellence.

In 2007 we celebrated our 10th anniversary, and continue to build on a legacy of exquisite form and function that has gained us worldwide attention among connoisseurs of fine objects.

The seamless integration of classic natural materials and state-of-the-art alloys is a hallmark of William Henry's work — no compromises, no shortcuts, exceptional quality. Each component is precision machined to tolerances reserved for aerospace level work — often measured at 0.0005", or one twelfth the size of a human hair. The final fit, finish, action, and sharpness of each knife are achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of master cutlers.

Every pocket knife we make is a distinctive heirloom-quality testament to the art of knife making. Each piece takes more than seven months to produce, and incorporates the work of more than 30 artisans across 800 individual operations.

William Henry creates a range of tools so perfectly conceived and executed that they transcend superlative function to become superlative art. Our cutting instruments offer unmatched performance as daily carry tools and are found among the finest collections in the world.
